Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accessibility Testing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure that our digital products — including web and mobile applications — are accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities. This role requires a deep understanding of accessibility standards and a commitment to making digital interfaces inclusive. The Accessibility Tester will perform evaluations, identify compliance gaps, collaborate with development teams, and support the delivery of user-friendly digital experiences that meet evolving standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct accessibility testing on web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Evaluate products against standards such as WCAG 2.1/2.2 and Section 508.
• Perform manual testing utilizing screen readers, keyboard navigation, and assistive technologies.
• Execute automated scans and analyze testing results.
• Document and manage accessibility defects using relevant tools.
• Provide remediation guidance to development and design teams.
• Review UI/UX designs for accessibility compliance throughout the lifecycle of development.
• Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and compliance documentation.
• Support ongoing accessibility audits and certification efforts.
• Stay updated on accessibility standards and best practices in the industry.

Tech Stack

• Languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ARIA.
• Testing Tools: JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Axe DevTools, WAVE, Lighthouse, Accessibility Insights.
• Project Management: Defect tracking and test management tools.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in accessibility testing, QA testing, or digital accessibility.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level A and AA requirements.
  • Experience with assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing tools like Axe DevTools, WAVE, Lighthouse, and Accessibility Insights.
• Web Technologies: Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA concepts.
• Tools: Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
