1. Overview and Purpose

This Refund Policy ("Policy") describes when refunds may be provided for purchases made on iskima.com ("iskima", "we", "us"). Our offerings include: Certification tests, Pro subscriptions, Employer Curated Match, Full Database Access, and Job Postings. This Policy is designed to be fair and protective of platform integrity, while complying with applicable laws.

Except as expressly provided below or required by law, all purchases are final and non-refundable. Where refunds are permitted, they may be provided as original payment reversals or as iskima credits at our discretion.

Payment Processing Charge: A ₹10 INR processing fee will be deducted from all approved refunds to cover payment processing costs. The effective refund amount will be the original purchase amount minus ₹10 INR.

2. Key Definitions

Refund: A reversal of charges to the original payment method or a credit applied to your iskima account.
Accessed: Viewing full candidate profiles, downloading resumes/data, exporting candidate lists, or initiating outreach via the platform.
Unique Candidate: A distinct candidate profile identified by a unique internal ID.
Booking: Selecting and confirming a specific date/time slot for a certification test.
Calendar Day: All refund windows are measured in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) unless stated otherwise.

3. General Refund Terms

Refund requests must be initiated by the account holder via [email protected] and include order ID, purchase date, product, and reason.
We may require corroborating evidence (e.g., screenshots, error logs) and will verify usage against our telemetry.
Chargebacks or payment disputes may trigger account suspension; we may contest disputes and pass associated fees.
Multiple refunds or suspected abuse may lead to denial of future refunds, credits only, or account closure.
Processing times: approved refunds typically within 5–10 business days; bank timelines may vary.
Refunds cannot exceed the original amount paid; currency conversion, bank fees, and taxes may be non-refundable.
We may issue refunds as iskima credits instead of cash in our discretion where permitted by law.
Promotional codes, gift codes, and bonuses are non-refundable and have no cash value.

4. Certification Tests

Refund Eligibility During Validity Period

You are eligible for a refund as long as your certification test purchase is valid.
The current validity period is 30 days, but this may change with or without prior notice.
The validity period will be reflected in your user dashboard.
Once the validity period expires, the purchase becomes non-refundable.

Test Attempt Consumption

Once you start a test attempt (enter test mode after verification), the purchase is considered consumed and non-refundable.
Your test attempt counts even if you fail within seconds of starting the test.
If you fail for any proctoring reason during or after the test, you remain ineligible for a refund as you have attempted the test.
Once tests are graded and certification is generated (or not generated due to failure), the test is considered consumed.

No Employment Guarantee

Certification outcomes do not guarantee employment, interviews, or project awards; employers decide hiring.

5. Pro Subscription

Usage-Based Refund Eligibility

You are only eligible for a subscription refund if you have not used any Pro services.
Pro services include: applying to Pro job postings, getting certification discounts due to Pro subscription, or any other services provided by iskima in future or new feature testing periods.
If you have applied to 5 or more Pro job postings during a month using the Pro subscription, you cannot get a refund as you have effectively used your subscription.
For less than 5 job postings, you are eligible for a refund for that month if you apply for it within 5 days.

Cancellation Process

If you don't qualify for a refund, you can still cancel your subscription to avoid automatic charges.
To cancel your subscription, contact [email protected] with your order ID, associated email, receipt, and date of purchase.
Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

6. Employer Services

Curated Match

Refunds are available within 24 hours of purchase only if our tools have not been used to access candidate data.
"Use" includes viewing full candidate profiles, downloading resumes, exporting data, or sending outreach emails via the platform.
System telemetry determines usage and timestamps (UTC); self-reporting is not sufficient.

Full Database Access

A full refund may be granted only if fewer than 100 unique candidates have been accessed.
"Accessed" means any of: full profile views, resume downloads, data exports, or platform emails initiated.
If 100 or more unique candidates have been accessed, no refund is available.

Job Postings

If a posting is cancelled before going live (publication), a refund may be granted.
Once a job is published or promoted, fees are non-refundable.
Posts removed for policy violations are not eligible for refunds.

7. How to Request a Refund

Include: account email, order ID, purchase date, product, and justification.
We typically respond within 3–5 business days with next steps.
