Role Overview

We are looking for an AI Engineer to join the early engineering team. This is a high-ownership role where you will work directly with the founders and build AI systems from the ground up. You will operate across the entire AI stack, including Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic AI, AI evaluation, voice AI, multimodal reasoning, and personalization, along with the infrastructure needed to build fast, reliable, and engaging AI products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and wants to take ownership of products from idea to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deploy production-grade AI/ML systems.
• Develop applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Design and implement agentic AI workflows that enable autonomous decision-making.
• Work on Voice AI systems for natural voice interactions (speech recognition, synthesis, dialogue management).
• Explore and build solutions involving multimodal reasoning (combining text, images, audio, etc.).
• Work on AI evaluation methodologies to improve the quality, reliability, and safety of AI systems.
• Contribute to AI personalization and product intelligence features.
• Solve complex technical problems across the AI and product stack.
• Work closely with the founders on core AI and product decisions.
• Take substantial ownership of building and improving AI systems from the ground up.

Tech Stack

• Programming Languages: Python (primary), possibly TypeScript/Node.js for infrastructure.
• AI/ML Frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, vLLM, TensorRT for inference optimization.
• LLMs & Agentic AI: GPT-4, LLaMA, Mistral, Claude; agent frameworks like AutoGen, CrewAI, LangGraph, ReAct pattern.
• Voice AI: Speech-to-text (Whisper, DeepSpeech), text-to-speech (ElevenLabs, Coqui), voice activity detection (Silero, WebRTC VAD), dialogue systems (Rasa, Riva).
• Multimodal AI: LLaVA, GPT-4V, CLIP, BLIP for image-text understanding, audio-text models (Wav2Vec2, Whisper).
• Data & Infrastructure: PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, Weights & Biases, AWS/GCP, CI/CD pipelines.
• Tooling: Git, Jupyter, cloud SDKs, monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana).

2–5 years of relevant experience in AI/ML engineering or a closely related field. Must be a graduate/postgraduate of one of the top 10 IITs in India. Strong programming and problem-solving skills. Hands-on experience building AI/ML systems. Experience with one or more of: Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI / AI Agents, Voice AI, Multimodal AI. Ability to build and deploy production-grade AI systems. Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently. Comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.
