Role Overview

As an AI Engineer at Kumaran Systems, you will be part of a dynamic team tasked with designing, developing, and deploying scalable artificial intelligence solutions within the enterprise AI platform. This role is not just about implementation; it requires deep architectural thinking to build robust Generative AI services, complex retrieval pipelines, and agentic workflows that enhance the user experience and drive business value. Collaborating with AI Program Management, Data & Analytics, and various business stakeholders, you will translate validated business requirements into secure, production-ready AI applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable AI solutions leveraging Generative AI, LLMs, and Agentic AI.
• Develop robust AI workflows and retrieval pipelines to support intelligent decision-making and automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of AI initiatives with business goals.
• Implement and manage document processing solutions, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.
• Utilize prompt engineering and responsible AI practices to mitigate risks associated with AI systems.
• Integrate AWS services to build seamless AI solutions that meet organizational standards and practices.

• Strong hands-on experience in Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, NLP, and AI workflow development using Amazon Bedrock.
• Expertise in building RAG-based AI solutions with Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases, embeddings, vector retrieval, grounding, and citation strategies.
• Experience developing intelligent document processing solutions using Amazon Textract, OCR workflows, summarization, classification, extraction, and business Q&A systems.
• Proficient in prompt engineering, AI guardrails, hallucination mitigation, responsible AI practices, and implementing human-in-the-loop AI workflows.
• Strong Python programming skills with experience integrating AI solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, S3, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, IAM, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch.
