Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to join the early engineering team. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role where you will work across the entire AI stack—from large language models (LLMs) and agentic systems to voice AI and multimodal reasoning. You will be responsible for taking ideas from concept to production, working directly with founders on core AI decisions, and contributing to a fast-growing product used by real customers. The ideal candidate has a strong academic background from a top-tier Indian institute (JEE rank below 5,000, UG from a top 10 IIT or specified alternative institutes) and 2–5 years of startup experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deploy production-grade AI systems – design, implement, and maintain scalable AI pipelines.
• Develop LLM-powered applications – fine-tune, prompt-engineer, and deploy large language models for conversational and generative tasks.
• Design agentic AI workflows – create autonomous agents that plan, reason, and execute multi-step tasks.
• Enhance Voice AI capabilities – integrate natural voice interaction and speech processing into the product.
• Work on multimodal reasoning – combine text, image, audio, and other modalities to build intelligent systems.
• Improve AI evaluation and reliability – define metrics, run experiments, and iterate on model quality.
• Drive personalization and product intelligence – use AI to tailor user experiences and optimize outcomes.
• Take end-to-end ownership – from research and prototyping to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with founders – contribute to product strategy, architecture decisions, and technical vision.

Tech Stack

• Languages: Python (mandatory), possibly TypeScript for backend integrations
• AI & ML Frameworks: PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, LlamaIndex
• LLMs: GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, open-source models (e.g., Llama, Mistral)
• Agentic AI: CrewAI, AutoGen, or custom agent frameworks
• Voice AI: Whisper, Speech-to-Text, TTS engines (e.g., ElevenLabs)
• Multimodal: CLIP, LLaVA, or similar multimodal models
• Infrastructure: Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate), CI/CD
• Evaluation: MLflow, Weights & Biases, custom evaluation pipelines

Eligibility Criteria

• JEE rank below 5,000
• UG degree from one of the top 10 IITs in India, OR from IIIT Hyderabad, NIT Trichy, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, BITS Pilani (Pilani/Goa campus), Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI), or Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in an AI/ML engineering role at a startup
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on experience building production-grade AI systems
• Proven expertise in one or more of: LLMs, Agentic AI, Voice AI, Multimodal AI
• Comfortable with fast-paced, early-stage environment
• Ability to take ownership and work independently
