Role Overview

As an Analyst in IT Operations Backup & Storage, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and administrating storage and backup systems within Vistance's infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure operational excellence while collaborating with the infrastructure team to resolve complex issues effectively. The position is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, and focuses on providing top-notch support for storage and backup technologies essential for business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot storage and backup devices, ensuring they operate to the highest standards.
• Manage day-to-day operations involving extensive storage and backup platforms including EMC, NetApp, and Commvault.
• Utilize On Command System Manager and DDMC for managing storage solutions.
• Conduct regular monitoring using tools like AIQUM to detect and alert on hardware/software-related issues.
• Perform configuration and data migration, ensuring practices align with security protocols to mitigate risks, including ransomware.
• Compile and maintain backup policies, oversee retention criteria, and ensure compliance with legal holds as necessary.
• Coordinate with vendors for resolution of incidents related to their products or services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in the backup and recovery environments, providing timely updates on incident management.
• Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on existing backup systems and infrastructure components.
• Execute backups and restores of files, folders, databases, and virtual environments, ensuring customer satisfaction with service delivery.

Salary: Estimated ₹80,000 - ₹1,50,000 per month based on industry standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Completed bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with administration of Storage and Backup technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in handling multiprotocol NAS volumes and user authentication using LDAP and Active Directory.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with ticket management on the ServiceNow platform.
• Knowledge of technologies and industry trends in Storage and Backup technologies.
• Experience in preventing/handling Ransomware attacks.
