Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Android Developer to join our product development team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Android application development using Java and Kotlin and be enthusiastic about building high-quality, user-centric mobile applications. You will play a key role in both maintaining and expanding the capabilities of our EdTech platform, working on features that directly impact thousands of users. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain robust, high-performance Android applications for the School Chimes platform.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into new features and enhancements.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services seamlessly into the mobile application.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance to ensure a smooth, responsive user experience across a wide range of Android devices and OS versions.
• Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and advocate for best practices in mobile development.
• Maintain and enhance existing features, ensuring codebase health and technical debt management.
• Work closely with the QA team to identify, reproduce, and resolve issues, continuously improving product quality.
• Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, libraries, and tools to propose improvements.

Skills: Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin; experience with Android Studio, Android SDK, REST APIs, JSON, SQLite or Room Database, and Git; excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills; ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
