Role Overview

Snapmint is seeking an experienced Android Developer to join its dynamic engineering team. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, reusable, and reliable code for the Snapmint mobile application. You will work closely with other developers and designers to implement customer-facing features and ensure a smooth user experience. Key Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
• Identify and fix bottlenecks, memory leaks, and other performance issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and architectural patterns like MVVM.
• Work with modern Android architecture components including Jetpack Compose, ViewModel, Room, DataStore, WorkManager, and Navigation.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs using libraries such as Retrofit and OkHttp.
• Implement dependency injection using Dagger or Hilt.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
• Work in an Agile environment using project management tools like Jira.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in developing Android applications.
• Proficient in Kotlin and Java with good knowledge of their ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of modern Android architecture: Jetpack Compose, ViewModel, Room, DataStore, WorkManager, Navigation, Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger).
• Understanding of OOP principles, architectural patterns (especially MVVM), and testability.
• Experience with common Android libraries: Retrofit, OkHttp, Glide, RxJava, Gson, etc.
• Debugging skills including memory leak detection, performance bottlenecks, and use of tools like ADB and ProGuard.
• Excellent command of data structures and algorithms.
• Understanding of design for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Experience working in an Agile environment with project management tools like Jira.
• Familiarity with Material Design guidelines and mobile UX patterns.
