Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Associate SOC Analyst to enhance our Security Operations Center team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and demonstrate a keen eye for identifying potential threats. The role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and integrity of our clients' information systems amidst an ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring & Analysis: You will continuously monitor security alerts and events from various SIEM tools and other security monitoring systems. This involves analyzing logs and data from firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoints, and network devices to detect suspicious activity and identify potential security incidents for escalation.

• Incident Response: You will assist in the triage, containment, and remediation of security incidents, documenting all incidents and responses for auditing and future reference. Supporting root cause analysis is also critical to improving incident response plans.

• Threat Intelligence: Staying updated with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques is key. You will collaborate with the security team to implement threat intelligence findings into monitoring and response processes.

• Reporting & Documentation: A vital part of your role will be maintaining up-to-date incident logs and generating regular reports on SOC activity, trends, and performance metrics to keep stakeholders informed.

• Compliance & Best Practices: You will adhere to industry-standard security practices and organizational policies while assisting in the development and refinement ofSOC processes, procedures, and playbooks.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including networking, malware, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel).
• Basic knowledge of security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK).
