Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with robust experience in Python and Appium to develop and maintain automation frameworks for mobile applications. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring product quality through rigorous testing practices and contribute to the overall improvement of quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Appium to enhance mobile application testing.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and UI testing for both Android and iOS platforms.
• Build scalable and reusable automation frameworks that are efficient and effective in identifying defects.
• Execute automated test suites, analyze results thoroughly, and debug failures to improve the testing process.
• Log, track, and manage defects efficiently using tools like JIRA, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and QA professionals to align testing efforts with project goals.
• Integrate automation testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions to streamline deployment processes.
• Perform API testing and validations to ensure backend services are functioning as expected.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation to provide transparency on coverage and test results.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, driving better practices across the organization.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation
• Experience testing Android and/or iOS applications
• Knowledge of automation frameworks (PyTest, unittest)
• Familiarity with Git/version control systems
• Experience with CI/CD tools
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (SDLC/STLC)
• Experience in API testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Selenium WebDriver
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behave)
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
