Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer specializing in Python to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience and will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust web services and APIs, primarily using the Django and Flask frameworks. This role requires a strong understanding of Linux environments and REST API development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and web services using Python.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Django and/or Flask frameworks.
• Develop, deploy, and debug applications within Linux-based environments.
• Integrate applications with relational and/or NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient data access.
• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code that adheres to OOP and design-pattern best practices.
• Write and maintain unit tests and support integration/regression testing efforts.
• Collaborate with front-end, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver features end-to-end.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues and production defects.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Python application/backend development.

• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Python data structures.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as PyTest or unittest.

Good to Have

• Exposure to Docker/containerized deployments.
• Experience with message queues (Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum practices.
• Basic front-end scripting exposure (JavaScript) for full-stack collaboration.
