Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site BIM (Plumbing & Fire Protection) role based in Mumbai. The role involves developing detailed BIM models for plumbing and fire protection systems, ensuring accurate coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in Plumbing systems, hands-on experience with Pipe routing, sizing, and coordination within BIM models, and proficiency in Revit or similar BIM authoring tools. Knowledge of local and international plumbing and fire protection codes and standards, especially UK, US, or international contexts, is essential. The team member will work collaboratively with engineers and project managers in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed BIM models for plumbing and fire protection systems
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and design briefs
• Model pipework layouts, fixtures, equipment, and supports
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to resolve clashes
• Update models based on design changes, clash detection results, and reviewer feedback
• Prepare documentation, shop drawings, and schedules for plumbing and fire protection systems
• Support quality checks and ensure compliance with project standards
• Maintain organized project files and adhere to delivery deadlines
• Contribute to continuous improvement of BIM workflows, templates, and family libraries
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for model-related issues
• Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings
• Ensure models meet LOD (Level of Development) requirements as per project specifications
• Implement MEP coordination best practices and industry standards

1. Strong technical skills in Plumbing systems, including layout design, fixture selection, and integration with building services. 2. Hands-on experience with Pipe routing, sizing, and coordination within BIM models for plumbing and fire protection. 3. Knowledge of Maintenance & Repair practices for building services, with an understanding of lifecycle and operability considerations. 4. General Maintenance skills related to MEP coordination, documentation updates, and adherence to quality standards. 5. Customer Service mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. 6. Proficiency in BIM authoring tools (e.g., Revit or similar), with experience in clash detection and coordination workflows. 7. Familiarity with relevant plumbing and fire protection codes and standards, preferably within UK, US, or international contexts. 8. Diploma or degree in Mechanical engineering, Building services, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 9. Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work to strict project timelines on-site in Mumbai. 10. Good written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving approach.
