Role Overview

The BSA Operations Technical Analyst will play a pivotal role in a central finance transformation project. The objective is to upgrade and standardize policies, processes, controls, and technology around balance sheet assurance, reconciliation, and journal entry using the BlackLine SaaS solution. This role combines BlackLine admin expertise with finance process and accounting knowledge, working closely with senior stakeholders across GBS teams and organization-wide finance and control teams.

This hybrid position based in Pune offers a unique opportunity to lead the system administrator team and drive digitization in balance sheet reconciliation and manual journal operations. The role spans 12-18 months as a project position, transitioning into an operational team lead or senior analyst role post-project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the BlackLine System Administrator team, providing guidance, support, and mentoring.
• Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Oversee maintenance and configuration of the BlackLine platform for optimal performance and alignment with business requirements.
• Configure system settings, user permissions, and access controls according to organizational policies.
• Manage user assignments (adding, updating, deactivating accounts) and provide user support and troubleshooting.
• Maintain precise master data in BlackLine, including charts of accounts and mapping tables, ensuring platform-wide consistency through regular audits.
• Monitor compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and security standards.
• Develop and customize reports in BlackLine to track KPIs related to reconciliation activities and process efficiency.
• Generate monthly reports summarizing reconciliation completion status and outstanding actions for management review.
• Facilitate training sessions for new users on BlackLine functionalities and best practices.
• Configure and manage workflows within BlackLine to streamline reconciliation processes and run in-transit runs.
