Role Overview

As a CAD Applications Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored technical support to our customers using SolidWorks products. Your main focus will be troubleshooting customer queries, providing software performance insights, and conducting training to maximize client satisfaction and product efficiency. This full-time position requires a proactive approach to customer service, solid engineering knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone, email, and web portals, leveraging your SolidWorks expertise to assist users with production challenges.
• Follow up on Service Requests and Software Performance Reports generated through support interactions, ensuring timely response and high customer satisfaction.
• Research solutions, create knowledge base articles, and develop instructional content to aid users in harnessing SolidWorks efficiently.
• Conduct training classes both in-person and online, instructing new users on SolidWorks functionalities.
• Engage directly with customers on-site as required to offer personalized training sessions and technical support.
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure an accurate understanding of customer requirements, leading to tailored product demonstrations.
• Respond to various customer needs, facilitating effective solutions to their technical issues with SolidWorks.
• Report directly to the Technical Manager and Senior Applications Support Engineer.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Preferred)
• Engineering design experience in a design environment
• Proficient in 3D CAD Systems, especially SolidWorks; knowledge of Pro/ENGINEER or Inventor is a plus
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Willingness to travel for onsite support and training
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
