About the Company

Ezefare is an early-stage B2B startup based in Hyderabad that provides a corporate employee transportation platform. The company helps enterprise clients across IT/GCC, pharma, manufacturing, and BFSI sectors manage employee commutes efficiently. Ezefare already has a live product with early clients, including an Employee App, a Driver App, and a Client Dashboard Portal. The company is now seeking a Chief Technology Officer to take this foundation and scale it into a robust, defensible platform.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / Technology Partner to lead all technology aspects of Ezefare. This is a senior role that requires a hands-on leader who can take ownership of a live product, research and recommend architectural improvements, and drive the technical roadmap. You will have full control over the technology function and will be the final decision-maker on all technical matters. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5+ years of full-stack development experience and a strong sense of ownership, looking to make a significant impact in an early-stage, resource-constrained environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full technical ownership of the existing product suite (Employee App, Driver App, Client Dashboard/Analytics Portal).
• Study the current codebase, architecture, and product to identify strengths, weaknesses, and gaps.
• Research and evaluate the current tech stack and infrastructure, and recommend the right long-term choices.
• Redesign, refactor, or rebuild parts of the system as needed – you have the mandate to make real changes.
• Own the technical roadmap, prioritising features and improvements.
• Build safety-critical and enterprise-required features to production-grade standards (SOS, OTP/QR verification, masked calling, analytics/reporting).
• Decide on team building – work solo or hire developers, freelancers, or agencies – and manage the team if needed.
• Set engineering practices, code standards, and delivery processes.
• Own architecture, development, QA, deployment, infrastructure, security, and data.
• Manage vendor/tool decisions (hosting, third-party APIs, dev tools).
• Handle technical support for enterprise client onboarding and SLA compliance.
• Ensure founders can step back from technology entirely, with full responsibility resting on you.

3–5+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack web and backend development; experience owning production systems; strong research and execution skills; comfort with early-stage, resource-constrained environments; willingness to wear multiple hats.

Full control of the technology function; work directly with founders; live product and early clients; flexible work arrangement (on-site/hybrid).
