Role Overview

Cygni Energy is seeking a Deputy Manager/Manager in Supply Chain Management to oversee strategic and global sourcing functions while ensuring efficient operations in international inbound logistics. This role plays a critical part in aligning procurement strategies with business goals, ultimately supporting Cygni's mission of rethinking energy through cutting-edge battery technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize international inbound logistics and import operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and timely clearance of goods.
• Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory agencies to facilitate import documentation, duty structure adherence, and logistics tracking.
• Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to create innovative, cost-effective solutions aligned with market trends.
• Drive continuous improvement in battery technology and energy storage solutions by researching market trends and monitoring competitor offerings.
• Build and maintain strategic vendor partnerships for critical components such as Cells, BMS, and CAN Chargers, ensuring a reliable supply chain.
• Identify and manage supply chain risks, considering environmental, geopolitical, and economic factors.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, focusing on favorable terms and timely delivery of components.
• Collaborate with the finance team to align procurement strategies with cost-saving initiatives and ensure accurate vendor payment processes.
• Keep detailed records of quality audits and work with cross-functional teams to address root causes of quality issues.

• 10+ years of experience in Product Development, Negotiations, Costing, Procurement, or Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of driving innovation and operational excellence, preferably in the ESS or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Vendor Management, and Quality Control frameworks.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders.
• Technical expertise in battery technology or related fields is a strong advantage.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborative and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (preferred in Energy Storage System / Electronics Manufacturing / Electric Vehicles).
• Excellent communication, fluency in English, and interpersonal skills.
• Well-versed with Sourcing & Supply Chain Laws, Import regulations, Global logistics, Contracts & Agreements.
