Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide end-user IT support and ensure the smooth functioning of desktop systems, laptops, peripherals, and network connectivity. The successful candidate will have exceptional troubleshooting skills and a commitment to high-quality customer service, ensuring effective resolution of technical issues while upholding IT security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other business applications.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues efficiently.
• Set up and configure systems for new employees, including user accounts, email setup, software installations, and hardware allocation.
• Manage IT assets and user access rights during employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Maintain and troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, printers, and basic network infrastructures.
• Perform regular system updates, patch management, and antivirus checks to ensure compliance with IT security policies.
• Document technical issues and resolutions, maintaining detailed service records for reference.

Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 2-4 years of experience in Desktop Support, IT Helpdesk, or Technical Support roles, showcasing a strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills. We value independent-minded professionals who can also work collaboratively across teams and are willing to take responsibility in critical business situations.

Salary

The salary for this position ranges from ₹25,000 - ₹40,000 per month, commensurate with experience and skills.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, and Active Directory.
• Hands-on experience with desktop/laptop hardware troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN).
• Experience with printer installation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of antivirus management and endpoint security.
• Familiarity with remote support tools such as AnyDesk, TeamViewer, or Remote Desktop.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple support requests and work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, CCNA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
