Role Overview

As an Engineering Manager specializing in PLC/SCADA and Instrumentation, you will lead the complete Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) process for various projects, primarily focusing on water supply, irrigation, and pump house infrastructure. This technical leadership role involves hands-on management of project design, procurement, site execution, commissioning, and the development of the automation practices at Nav Tech Electronics. You will work closely with multiple teams and stakeholders, building a strong foundation for the company’s EPC automation practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee EPC projects from engineering kick-off through procurement, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and the final handover to clients.
• Manage project timelines, bills of quantities (BOQs), vendor negotiations, subcontractors, and site commissioning teams effectively.
• Review and approve all related engineering documentation, including drawings, panel layouts, cable schedules, loop diagrams, and Material Approval Requests (MARs).
• Design and draft SCADA architecture for projects including water treatment plants and irrigation pump houses, preparing Functional Design Specification (FDS), system architecture documents, and I/O schedules.
• Develop and review PLC/RTU logic for various control systems and integrate field instruments with SCADA systems through various communication networks.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation for instrumentation engineering, including the instrument index, datasheets, and calibration processes.
• Engage directly with clients, consultants, and government authorities on water projects while preparing technical proposals and project presentations.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of SCADA and instrumentation engineers and specialists.

• PLC/RTU: Siemens S7, Allen Bradley, Schneider Modicon, ABB, Delta
• Instrumentation: Flow meters, Level/Pressure transmitters, Analyzers, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Networking: Industrial Ethernet, Fiber Optics, GPRS/4G RTUs, VPN, OT Firewalls
• Tools: AutoCAD, EPLAN, MS Project, MS Office

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or E&C Engineering.
• 7-10 years of experience in PLC/SCADA/Instrumentation engineering.
• 3-4 years in water/irrigation EPC projects is preferred.
• Proven track record in managing end-to-end EPC project delivery (design to commissioning).
• Experience with government/municipal water utilities or irrigation departments is preferred.
• Certifications in SCADA platforms (Ignition, AVEVA, WinCC) or PLC programming preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work at various project sites across India.
