Role Overview

As the Engineering Manager, you will lead a talented cross-functional engineering team dedicated to building and enhancing DataSwitch, Incture's advanced data integration platform. This role requires a depth of technical expertise along with the ability to manage and mentor a team, ensuring the seamless delivery of product features that meet customer requirements while maintaining high standards of software quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a cross-functional engineering team responsible for the development and scaling of DataSwitch, ensuring successful feature deliveries and platform enhancements.
• Own the end-to-end delivery process by coordinating efforts across architecture, development, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and solution architects to convert business and customer needs into prioritized engineering roadmaps and actionable sprint plans.
• Continue to drive engineering excellence within the team through solid practices in code review, architectural governance, the adoption of CI/CD pipelines, and adherence to quality standards.
• Take charge of recruiting, mentoring, and developing a high-performing engineering team; conduct performance evaluations and support career growth initiatives.
• Effectively manage project timelines, resources, and delivery risks, ensuring clear communication of progress and challenges to senior leadership.
• Work in partnership with the DataSwitch architect to ensure that technical decision-making aligns with the platform's scalability, resilience, and maintainability objectives.
• Advocate for agile methodologies and establish a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing and delivering software engineering projects, with a solid foundation in Java, Microservices, React.js, and RDBMS technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Demonstrated track record of leading engineering teams: hiring, mentoring, performance management, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
• Solid understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and data structures; ability to engage meaningfully in technical discussions without being the primary decision-maker.
• Experience with agile delivery, sprint planning, backlog management, and release coordination in a fast-paced product environment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate between technical and non-technical audiences with clarity.
• Comfortable managing competing priorities and navigating ambiguity in a dynamic, growth-stage product company.
