Role Overview

The Finance Manager is responsible for the day-to-day integrity of the company’s financial, statutory, and secretarial operations. This role acts as a central point of coordination between founders, VCFO, investors, auditors, and internal teams — ensuring that accounting processes, statutory filings, reporting, and record-keeping are accurate, timely, audit-ready, and aligned with internal cost controls and SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure alignment of accounting and financial processes with SOPs and internal cost controls.
• Create and share financial reports, MIS, projections, and other data as required by stakeholders.
• Act as SPOC for investors, founders, VCFO, banks, and auditors for all finance, legal, and secretarial coordination.
• Verify and validate all GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and MCA related workings and filings.
• Review and record all agreements, NDAs, and letters issued by the company.
• Check and approve employee reimbursements and financial transactions per internal SOPs and cost controls.
• Reconcile MIS, accounting data, filings, and transactions across bank statements, cards, reimbursements, and wallets/ledgers.
• Ensure record-keeping of all financial, legal, and secretarial data in audit-ready format.
• Perform internal audit and periodic reviews to adopt financial best practices.
• Support statutory, tax, and internal audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries.
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Monitor day-to-day cash flow, banking operations, and working capital.
• Coordinate ROC compliances, board and shareholder meeting documentation, statutory registers, and secretarial filings.
• Track and ensure timely renewal of licenses, registrations, insurance policies.
• Support fundraising, due diligence, and investor reporting requirements.
• Liaise with external consultants (tax, legal, secretarial, payroll) and ensure timely delivery of services.
• Maintain confidentiality and data security of all financial and legal information.
• Drive process improvements and automation in accounting and compliance workflows.

• Spreadsheets: Advanced MS Excel, Google Sheets
• Compliance portals: GST, TDS, PF, ESI, MCA filing systems
• General: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliation processes

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance; 3-6 years experience in accounting/financial compliance; working knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, MCA/ROC filings; proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, MS Excel/Google Sheets; strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple stakeholders.
