Trysol is an established player in the industrial instrumentation and scientific measurement space, delivering high-performance embedded solutions for data acquisition and processing.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced FPGA Design Engineer with 6–8 years of total experience and a minimum of 4 years dedicated to FPGA design. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and support FPGA-based embedded systems from concept through production. You will work closely with cross-functional hardware and software teams to build high-performance data acquisition and processing pipelines. The ideal candidate is proficient in VHDL, has deep hands-on experience with AMD/Xilinx Vivado and 7-Series FPGAs, and is comfortable with a wide range of interfaces and protocols. This is an in-person position based in Mumbai, offering the opportunity to work on complex, real-time systems that demand rigorous verification, timing closure, and hardware-software integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL for high-performance embedded systems.
• Implement and maintain FPGA-based data processing pipelines, including real-time signal processing.
• Work with Xilinx 7-Series FPGAs and Vivado design suite for synthesis, implementation, and debug.
• Develop and execute test benches for functional verification and validation of FPGA designs.
• Perform synthesis, timing analysis, and timing closure to meet stringent performance requirements.
• Integrate and validate interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, PCIe, AXI, ADC, and DAC.
• Debug and validate hardware using on-chip tools like ILA and VIO, as well as external equipment including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Collaborate with hardware, embedded software, and application teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Prepare detailed design documentation and test reports.
• Take ownership of FPGA designs from specification through to production-ready hardware deployment.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in VHDL and FPGA development
• Hands-on experience with AMD/Xilinx Vivado

• Good understanding of Digital Design, Timing Closure, and Clock Domain Crossing (CDC)
• Experience with AXI/AXI4-Stream, DMA, Ethernet, PCIe, SPI, I2C, UART, and QSPI
• Experience in FPGA verification, simulation, and debugging
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Good to Have:

• Experience with LVDS, ISERDES, OSERDES
• Knowledge of DSP algorithms and signal processing
• Experience with high-speed ADC/DAC interfaces
• Exposure to Git, TCL scripting, and Vivado automation
• Experience in industrial instrumentation or scientific measurement systems

Qualification:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 4 years of FPGA design experience
• Experience in taking FPGA designs from specification to production-ready hardware
