Role Overview

DOCK-Y is seeking a Frontend / Full-Stack Engineer to help develop a premium customer-facing e-commerce experience centered around their marketplace for electric bikes, e-scooters, motorcycles, and accessories. This role is pivotal in building user-friendly interfaces that enhance product discovery and overall customer engagement in both Indian and UK/EU markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Marketplace UI Build: Construct high-performance interfaces including home, shop, cart, and order history pages using Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS.
• Premium Design Execution: Ensure that DOCK-Y's visual identity is maintained through careful design principles and a minimal UI aesthetic.
• Responsive Implementation: Create interfaces that perform seamlessly across all devices, ensuring an intuitive user experience.
• Component Development: Build reusable components such as product cards, form fields, and promotional banners.
• Cart and Checkout UI: Develop production-ready functionalities for shopping cart and checkout processes.
• Admin Interface Support: Create admin screens for product management and inventory control.
• SEO and Metadata Support: Implement SEO strategies and metadata structures for enhanced visibility.
• Accessibility Standards: Adhere to web accessibility standards to provide inclusive user experiences.
• Quality Assurance: Engage in thorough testing across browsers and devices, addressing any layout and design issues promptly.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the CTO and CEO to align on development and design standards, participating actively in team meetings and reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Educational Background: A completed degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Design Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Proven Portfolio: Candidates must present a GitHub profile, professional portfolio, or deployed commercial applications demonstrating advanced frontend engineering capabilities.
• Core Frontend Stack: Strong, production-tested knowledge of React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, REST API integration, and standard Git/GitHub workflows.
• Code Quality: Ability to write clean, readable, maintainable code with clear documentation.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical discussions with the team.
• Industry Domain Interest: Experience or strong interest in premium digital consumer brands or electric vehicles (EVs) is desirable.

Preferred Experience

• Responsive Application Delivery: Experience building fully responsive websites or commercial React/Next.js applications.
• Interactive Interface Development: Prior experience with product cards, search filters, dynamic forms, or admin dashboards.
• Production Tailwind CSS Styling: Familiarity with Tailwind CSS in commercial projects.
• Cloud Deployment Workflows: Experience with deploying systems on Vercel and diagnosing build-time errors.
• BaaS Platform Integration: Basic understanding of integrating frontend states with platforms like Supabase Auth is a plus.
