Role Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer for our Mumbai office to enhance and extend BlueCortex, our proprietary internal AI platform. This position is pivotal as we grow our engineering team and build robust applications that cater to both internal needs and external client-facing tools, ensuring that our life sciences clients receive top-notch software solutions. As part of a distributed team, you will collaborate with your counterparts in the US to convert clear objectives from the product roadmap into high-quality, production-ready applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Development: Build and maintain features for BlueCortex, utilizing the full technology stack which includes React for frontend interfaces and Node/TypeScript for backend services, alongside Python wherever applicable.
• Client-Facing Tools: Develop applications and tools for our clientele, working closely with consultancy teams to translate client requirements into well-architected software solutions, all while observing necessary data security and confidentiality practices.
• Utilize AI Coding Agents: Implement and guide the use of AI coding agents to streamline the development process, ensuring high-quality outcomes and security in all deliverables.
• Integration and API Development: Handle the integration of BlueCortex with essential services such as Microsoft 365 and Azure, alongside various databases and LLM APIs, facilitating smooth operations across platforms.
• Team Collaboration: Engage with the US-based engineering team, actively participate in code reviews, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our coding practices and standards.
• Responsible Development: Maintain a focus on the security and confidentiality of sensitive life sciences information.

Requirements

Required

• 3–6 years of professional full-stack engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience in React and Node.js; comfort across the full stack. Knowledge of Python is a plus.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and relational databases, comfortable with NoSQL technologies.
• Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development and a strong desire to enhance skills in LLMs.
• Excellent written communication skills and a self-motivated approach to thrive in a distributed team environment.
• Must be based in Mumbai and able to work hybrid with significant overlap during US hours.

Strongly preferred

• Hands-on experience in building LLM-powered features or familiarity with model APIs.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft Graph.
• Previous work on globally distributed engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Exposure to life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
