Seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the sales of Recycled Polymers and Polymer Compounds across India.

Role Overview

As the General Manager – Sales, you will be responsible for leading the sales efforts for recycled polymers and polymer compounds across India. This role demands a seasoned professional with deep industry knowledge and a robust network among OEMs and suppliers. You will be pivotal in driving the company’s growth and establishing its position in the polymer recycling sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales volume, revenue, and contribution-margin targets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with new customers in sectors such as automotive, appliances, luggage, furniture, and industrial plastics.
• Lead the sales and business development team to achieve ambitious sales objectives.
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Quality departments to ensure product development meets customer specifications.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from initial enquiry to order fulfillment, including pricing and negotiations.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing to inform strategic decisions.
• Attend and represent the company in major national and international exhibitions, managing all aspects from stall development to client meetings.

Tech Stack

• Knowledge of polymer types such as PP, PPCP, PPHP, HDPE, ABS, HIPS.
• Familiarity with technical specifications (MFI, density, etc.).
• Customer relationship management (CRM) tools for pipeline and sales forecasting.

• 15–20 years of experience in Polymer / Plastics / Petrochemical / Recycling / Compounding industry.
• Strong experience in Polymer Compounding / Recycled Polymer Sales is essential.
• Knowledge of PP/PPCP, PPHP, HDPE, ABS, HIPS.
• Proven experience in OEM and Tier-1 customer development.
• Strong existing network within the plastics/polymer industry.
• Experience in handling large-volume B2B/institutional sales.
• Strong technical-commercial negotiation skills.
• Experience in customer trials and new product/grade approvals.
• Exposure to export sales will be an advantage.
• Experience with major polymer/plastics exhibitions preferred.
