Role Overview

We are seeking a Graduate Engineer Trainee (Civil Engineer) to join our Product Development Center in Chennai (Gudapakkam). This position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and is ideal for candidates passionate about material science, concrete performance enhancement, and specialty construction products. The trainee will collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to develop, test, validate, and commercialize construction chemical products, including but not limited to concrete enhancers, admixtures, and waterproofing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Testing & Validation

   • Conduct laboratory and field testing for construction chemical products.
   • Evaluate performance in terms of compressive strength, durability, and workability while maintaining comprehensive test records and reports.

2. New Product Development (R&D Support)

   • Participate in product formulation trials, mix design optimization, and raw material evaluations.
   • Assist in developing innovative products related to concrete enhancement and waterproofing.

3. Laboratory & Product Development Operations

   • Manage the day-to-day activities at the Product Development Center, ensuring optimal lab operation.
   • Conduct product trials and coordinate procurement and testing of materials.

4. Documentation & Technical Reporting

   • Maintain structured records of product formulations and prepare technical documents such as Technical Data Sheets.

5. Site & Customer Support

   • Provide technical support on project sites, including product application monitoring and troubleshooting.

6. Continuous Learning & Innovation

   • Stay informed about advancements in construction chemical technologies and contribute new ideas for products and processes.

Required Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• 2-5 years of experience in construction chemicals or concrete technology
• Basic understanding of site execution practices
• Exposure to Concrete Technology, Construction Materials or Construction Chemicals through internships or projects
• Knowledge of concrete mix design and material testing
• Familiarity with IS codes related to concrete, cement, aggregates, and admixtures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and technical report preparation

• Experience in concrete testing and laboratory trials
• Basic knowledge of construction quality practices
• Strong interest in material science and product development
