Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior HVAC Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of substantial experience in HVAC design consultancy projects across various sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of both low-side and high-side HVAC systems, with the ability to independently manage full-scale HVAC design initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior HVAC Design Engineer, you will:

• Lead the end-to-end HVAC design process for diverse projects including commercial spaces, healthcare settings, and data centers.
• Design and optimize both low-side systems (air distribution, ducting) and high-side systems (chilled water systems).
• Perform critical cooling load calculations and size systems appropriately using industry standards.
• Choose relevant HVAC systems, including Chillers, VRF, and AHU, while preparing detailed BOQs and technical specs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
• Develop layouts, calculations, and documentation, guiding junior engineers in the process.
• Participate actively in design reviews and provide input on value engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end HVAC design for multiple project types
• Design and optimize:
  • Low-side systems – air distribution, ducting, ventilation
  • High-side systems – chilled water systems, central plant design
• Perform cooling load calculations and system sizing using standard tools
• Select appropriate HVAC systems (Chillers, VRF, DX, AHU, FCU, etc.)
• Prepare and review detailed BOQs and technical specifications
• Develop and review:
  • HVAC layouts and schematics
  • Design calculations and reports
  • Equipment selection documents
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NBC, IS Codes, and local regulations
• Handle coordination with architects, structural, MEP teams, and clients
• Participate in design reviews and value engineering
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and draftsmen
• Support execution/site teams when required

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in HVAC design (low side & high side systems)
• Hands-on experience in load calculations and plant design
• Proven ability in BOQ preparation and design validation
• Exposure to specialized projects (healthcare, data centers, cleanrooms preferred)
• Good understanding of codes and standards compliance
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to independently handle projects and client interactions
