Role Overview

As an Industrial Solutions Consultant / Application Engineer, you will be responsible for connecting the dots between manufacturing operations and advanced technology solutions. Your role will require conducting field studies at customer manufacturing facilities, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and translating customer requirements into actionable engineering solutions. This position is customer-facing and involves frequent travel to manufacturing sites across India.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Process Study & Discovery: Conduct comprehensive visits to customer sites to observe existing operations, including process flow, material flow, and quality checkpoints. Engage with plant heads and engineering teams to diagnose bottlenecks and losses.
• Solution Identification & Definition: Evaluate potential use cases within assembly lines, fabrication shops, and other areas, focusing on productivity improvements, cycle time monitoring, and throughput analysis.
• Pilot Scope Definition: Create detailed pilot proposals outlining the objectives, criteria, and expected business outcomes of the solutions proposed.
• Functional Requirement Definition: Structure engineering documentation such as Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS) and use-case documents to ensure clarity amongst engineering teams.
• Internal Coordination: Collaborate with various internal stakeholders including technical pre-sales teams and engineering managers to facilitate successful project outcomes.
• Pilot Execution & Validation: Oversee the deployment of pilot initiatives, ensuring that solutions align with customer expectations and provide avenues for continuous improvement based on feedback.

Tech Stack

• Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial automation, machine vision systems, and AI applications in manufacturing.
• Engineering Tools: Proficient in documentation tools for FRS, KPI definitions, and process flow diagrams.
• Continuous Improvement Methodologies: Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM is beneficial.
