Perceptive is looking for a skilled IT Operations Engineer to monitor and maintain Azure Cloud and VMWare infrastructure, handle incidents, contribute to automation, and ensure reliable 24/7 network operations in a fast-paced environment.

Perceptive is seeking a skilled and motivated NOC Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an operations engineer you will be responsible for monitoring, maintenance and optimization of critical Infrastructure components of Azure Cloud and VMWare services. You’ll handle escalated incidents, contribute to automation efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable network operations.

This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The position is shift-based, supporting a 24x7 rotational to ensure continuous coverage and support. Additionally, the role involves major incident management to swiftly address and resolve critical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor Infrastructure & network performance and respond to alerts using tools like Azure monitor, SolarWinds, Dynatrace and Prometheus.
• Troubleshooting and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Lead efforts during outages, latency issues and security events.
• Suggest and Implement Infrastructure changes based on agreements and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on upgrade planning.
• Manage Security patch deployment through Azure update manager and SSCM, and make changes as needed.
• Work on monitoring setup of tool like Orion, Azure monitor and Dynatrace.
• Azure Cloud operation with IaaS and PaaS components.
• Take on Azure Entra ID tasks for user management.
• Identify operational problems and contributes to their resolution, checking that they are managed in accordance with agreed standards and procedures
• Perform planned outages, application secrets and SSL certificate renewals.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs/OLAs and escalate issues as needed.
• Document network configurations, procedures and known issues
• Adhere to company and industry standards for security, data protection and all Standard Operating Procedures
• Working with Service Management group, coordinate and document major incidents through to resolution
• Comply with all ITIL principles and service management
• Participate in 24/7 support rotations and manage shift handovers
• Carryout any other reasonable duties as requested.

Must Have:

• Proven experience in a similar role within a Network Operations Center, IT Operations or Cloud Operations.
• Experience in Azure IaaS and PaaS monitoring and administration.
• Experience with VMWare services.
• Troubleshooting knowledge of Linux and Windows administration is required
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols
• Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and basic security practices.
• Solid communication and documentation skills
• Willingness to work in a shift-based role supporting a 24x7 rotational
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Certified or seeking on Azure Fundamentals certification

Good to have:

• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Services
• Exposure to Cloud Networking (Azure, AWS)
• Experience with database monitoring of Cosmos DB & MySQL.
• Scripting Knowledge (eg- PowerShell, Bash)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure administrator Associate certification is good to have
