Role Overview

The Lead DevOps Engineer will spearhead the design, implementation, and delivery of cloud transformation initiatives on AWS, acting as a crucial liaison between customers and technical teams. This role focuses on combining cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and team mentorship to ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and optimized cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor teams of Cloud & DevOps Engineers, conduct code and architecture reviews, and drive technical standards across projects.
• Customer Engagement: Lead requirement gathering workshops, prepare comprehensive Statements of Work (SOWs), conduct AWS Well-Architected Reviews.
• Cloud Architecture & Migration: Architect migrations to AWS, design landing zones, implement Business Continuity solutions, and ensure alignment with AWS best practices.
• DevOps & Infrastructure Engineering: Implement CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation, and apply DevSecOps practices.
• Managed Services & Operational Readiness: Transition to Managed Services operations, define SLAs and SLOs, and establish operational documentation.
• Project Management: Lead large-scale transformation projects, manage project timelines and risks, ensure communication among stakeholders.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create technical documentation and deliver training sessions for both customers and internal teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Infrastructure Automation, or Platform Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience leading engineering teams and mentoring technical professionals.
• Deep expertise in AWS cloud services including EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, etc.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale cloud migrations.
• Advanced Infrastructure as Code expertise using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Strong expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or Go.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of Linux and Windows systems administration.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel for customer engagements across India and internationally.

Certifications (Mandatory)

• AWS Solutions Architect – Professional OR AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional

Desired Qualifications & Skills

• AWS Security Specialty Certification.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or CKAD.
