Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead Network Engineer with extensive expertise in cloud-native networking, particularly within the Azure environment, alongside a strong background in traditional enterprise networking technologies. This pivotal role will focus on driving cloud network architecture, hybrid connectivity, and security best practices, while also serving as a senior-level engineer responsible for the core datacenter and WAN infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Azure networking, managing VNet architecture, NSGs, Azure Firewalls, Private Links, and VPN Gateways.
• Design and execute scalable hybrid cloud networking solutions that link Azure workloads with on-premise systems through technologies such as BGP, ExpressRoute, DMVPN, and SD-WAN.
• Ensure security and compliance through effective network segmentation and policy enforcement using Palo Alto Prisma Access and NGFWs.
• Manage F5 LTM for efficient traffic distribution and secure application delivery.
• Support and optimize datacenter switching based on Cisco NX-OS, utilizing layer 3 routing protocols including OSPF and BGP.
• Lead network design reviews and architecture decisions, collaborating with various teams like DevOps and security to align on modern cloud-native standards.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for streamlined Azure network deployments.
• Provide Tier 3/4 escalation support for complex networking issues, maintaining thorough documentation of network architecture and processes.

Salary

Estimated salary range for this position is ₹1,00,000 - ₹1,50,000 per month based on industry standards for similar roles.

• 8+ years in network engineering roles, focusing on Azure or cloud networking for at least 3+ years.
• Advanced hands-on experience in Azure VNet, NSG/UDR, Azure Firewall, VPN/ExpressRoute, Hub-Spoke topologies.
• Expertise in hybrid networking and site-to-site connectivity with BGP/DMVPN.
• Proficiency with Palo Alto Firewalls, Prisma Access, and Panorama.
• Experience with F5 LTM administration and iRule development.
• Strong knowledge in Cisco routing/switching, especially NX-OS, BGP, and OSPF.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, load balancing, firewall security, and high availability design.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell).
• Cloud networking experience in AWS or GCP is a bonus but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
