Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled LiDAR Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geomatics and substantial experience with LiDAR data processing. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects that require attention to detail and technical expertise in geospatial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain LiDAR sensors, including airborne, terrestrial, and mobile systems, to gather high-quality geospatial data.
• Perform orthomosaic generation, Digital Elevation Model (DEM) creation, and point cloud classification using advanced photogrammetric techniques.
• Analyze and visualize LiDAR-derived data on GIS platforms such as ArcGIS and QGIS.
• Integrate LiDAR data with remote sensing imagery to support land classification and provide mapping solutions.
• Conduct validation and error analysis of LiDAR datasets to ensure data accuracy, leveraging cross-validation with survey control points.
• Utilize various software tools for LiDAR processing including TerraSolid, LASTools, Global Mapper, and Pix4D.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in GIS and LiDAR technologies to improve workflow processes and data quality.
• Collaborate with team members to manage and create GIS databases, and provide technical support as necessary.

Salary

Estimated salary for this position is in the range of ₹60,000 - ₹1,00,000 per month, commensurate with experience and skills.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Geomatics, M.Sc in GIS & Remote Sensing, or equivalent qualification with PG Diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing or Certification in LiDAR.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in LiDAR Data/Drone data processing.
• Proficient in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and CAD tools.
• Hands-on experience with LiDAR software (e.g., TerraSolid, LASTools, Global Mapper, Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape).
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
