Lead CRA's process engineering team, owning process design for all orders and driving improvements to combustion and gas handling equipment.
Combustion Research Associates (CRA Energy) is a specialized engineering firm that designs and manufactures custom-engineered process equipment. Founded in 1993, the company has completed over 800 installations across more than 25 countries. CRA’s core expertise lies in combustion and gas handling systems, including flare systems, thermal oxidizers, burner management systems, H₂S scrubbers, biogas upgrading, and gas compression packages. All process, mechanical, and electrical design, as well as fabrication and machining, are performed in-house at their facility near Delhi. This integrated approach ensures quality control, rapid iteration, and deep domain knowledge.

Proven process design experience on combustion or gas handling equipment (flares, thermal oxidizers, incinerators, burners, scrubbers, gas treatment or compression packages). Hands-on with heat and mass balances, combustion calculations, hydraulics, line sizing, relief sizing, and instrument sizing. Experience producing and approving P&IDs, process datasheets, control philosophies, and cause-and-effect matrices. Led or actively participated in HAZOPs. Working knowledge of API 521, API 537, and NFPA standards for combustion and relief systems. Comfortable using AI tools in engineering work and rigorous about checking their output. Clear communicator who can explain design decisions and takes ownership of outcomes. Good to have: experience at an equipment manufacturer/packager, new product development, biogas/CBG/landfill gas projects, process simulation in HYSYS, international projects and codes.
