Role Overview

We are seeking a Manager to lead our Platform Infrastructure team, focusing on enhancing the reliability, automation, and governance of our data platform. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and have a strong background in cloud solutions and data infrastructure management. This role requires a proactive individual who can drive the team to achieve service level objectives while ensuring the integrity and security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain enterprise-grade data infrastructure using Terraform for automating environment deployments, ensuring minimal drift, and managing state effectively.
• Oversee security initiatives for the Snowflake platform, including role-based access control (RBAC) hierarchies, resource content monitors, and cost management strategies.
• Design and optimize GitHub Enterprise settings and workflows to facilitate the continuous deployment of various data schemas and infrastructure code.
• Establish service level objectives (SLOs) and service level agreements (SLAs), and lead root cause analysis (RCA) for critical platform incidents to ensure continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes while also exploring serverless architecture options to enhance cloud automation.

Requirements

• 8 to 12 years of experience in platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or related field.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Proficient in CI/CD processes, particularly using GitHub Actions.
• Deep understanding of cloud environments and services, especially AWS.
• Experience with data platforms, preferably Snowflake, and managing their security and governance.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Proficient in programming with languages like Python and Bash scripting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on optimizing performance and costs.
