Clean Electric, a Series A funded battery tech startup, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 2-4 years of experience in Li-Ion battery systems, plastic molding, and sheet metal design. The role involves creating 3D CAD models, performing tolerance analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative battery solutions for EVs and energy storage.
Clean Electric is a Series A funded battery technology company headquartered in Pune, India. Founded in 2020 by IIT-BHU graduates Akash Gupta, Abhinav Roy, and Ankit Joshi, the company specializes in designing and manufacturing advanced lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage applications. Its proprietary technologies include Direct Contact Liquid Cooling (DCLC) thermal management, integrated cell-to-pack (CTP) architecture, and custom-engineered in-house battery management systems. Clean Electric is rapidly scaling across 2W and 3W segments, with plans to enter 4W and commercial vehicles. The team comprises professionals from IITs, IIMs, and industry experts, backed by premier Indian venture capital firms.
This is a full-time on-site position based in Pune, India. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for lithium-ion battery systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, thermal, and manufacturing engineers to create robust, manufacturable designs that meet performance, safety, and cost targets. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with plastic molding parts and sheet metal components, along with a strong understanding of Li-Ion battery system design.
Location: Near Chakan, Pune, India (on-site)
Salary: Competitive and above market standard, based on profile and skills.
