Role Overview

We are seeking a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience to lead the design and development of a scalable, cloud-native data platform on Microsoft Azure. The candidate will be responsible for integrating data from multiple enterprise systems, such as SAP BW, SAP HANA, Labware, ELN, Salesforce, among others, to build a unified and intelligent enterprise data ecosystem. This role demands a proactive mindset and strong technical acumen to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions independently.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Data Integration: Design and implement automated data pipelines that integrate over 10 enterprise systems using Azure Functions, Docker Containers, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Data Modeling and Transformation: Develop efficient data models across various business domains like sales, operations, HR, customers, materials, and finance, empowering advanced analytics and AI-driven insights.
• Governance, Security, and Performance: Establish strong data governance frameworks, ensuring data lineage and access control, while optimizing pipeline performance using Azure-native capabilities.
• AI and Analytics Enablement: Deliver clean, structured, and enriched datasets ready for consumption by business intelligence (BI) tools and AI/ML models for advanced analytics and KPI prediction.
• Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to ensure the long-term sustainability and scalability of the data platform.

This position is based in Pune and follows a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days of remote work. The successful candidate will own the lifecycle of data ingestion, transformation, and modeling, contributing to the creation of a unified, governed Azure-based data ecosystem that enables real-time, scalable, and trusted analytics across multiple business domains.

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering roles
• Expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Functions, and Docker Containers
• Proficient in Python and SQL
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture
• Experience in multi-source data integration (SAP BW, SAP HANA, Labware, ELN, Salesforce, etc.)
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and CI/CD practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
