Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. This role is critical in connecting on-premises factory floor systems with cloud platforms, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performance networking for our AI edge devices, cameras, and IoT sensors. You will work closely with plant OT/automation teams and cloud architects to build hybrid, multi-cloud, and low-power networks. The position requires 50-60% travel to client sites during requirements, implementation, and troubleshooting phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components including routers, switches, firewalls, internet-connected cameras, NVRs, SAN/NAS storage, IoT devices, and load balancers. Able to configure both hardware and software routers/firewalls.
• Set up networking required for edge devices, data centers, and cloud environments.
• Create and manage virtual LANs (VLANs) on-premises and VPCs across multiple clouds.
• Implement and maintain network security: firewalls, VPNs, access controls, IP whitelisting, and VPN tunnelling for hybrid systems (on-premises, multi-cloud).
• Establish connectivity between on-premises and cloud-based virtual machines and services; handle smooth traffic between trusted endpoints.
• Work with plant teams (OT and automation systems) to connect OT networks (with RTSP cameras, sensors) and IT networks (on-premises servers/PCs or cloud VMs/serverless).
• Monitor network performance and proactively troubleshoot issues like outages, latency, and packet loss using tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, and SolarWinds.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design and implement network solutions meeting business requirements.
• Act as expert advisor to internal and client IT teams for connectivity and security issues; provide technical support and guidance.
• Coordinate with cloud providers, hardware/software vendors, and ISPs to implement and support complex networks (multi-cloud, hybrid, low power, wireless).
• Respond to network emergencies and drive continuous improvement in issue resolution.
• Document network configurations, processes, procedures, and known issues/resolutions.
• Support networking scope for standard industry audits and certifications (ISO, GMP, GDPR, etc.).
• Stay current with latest networking technologies and best practices.

Experience: 5+ years in network engineering roles. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field required.

Preferred: CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA; cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) and connecting on-premises systems; knowledge of SDN; scripting with Python or PowerShell.
