Run operations for Assurekit's purchase-protection line of business, owning weekly program loops, claims, settlements, and partner reconciliations. Drive automation and SOPs to scale the LOB.
Assurekit is on a mission to protect the internet's GDP. Every day, billions of dollars in transactions flow through India's digital economy across marketplaces, payments, logistics, and commerce platforms. However, the protection layer that should sit underneath all of it hasn't kept pace. Buyers worry about what arrives at their door, sellers absorb losses they didn't cause, and platforms carry risk they were never built to hold. Assurekit is building the infrastructure that fixes this—embedded directly into the platforms people already use, invisible until it's needed, and engineered for the speed and scale of digital commerce. Their partners include some of the largest names in the Indian internet, and their reach grows with every transaction they protect. Backed by tier-1 investors, they are building what they believe will become foundational risk infrastructure for the next billion digital consumers.
This is an operator's seat, not a strategy seat. As the Ops Manager for Purchase Protection, you will own the weekly operating loop for every program in the line of business (LOB). The LOB includes shipping-protection, RTO-protection, and e-commerce purchase-protection programs run for platforms such as Shiprocket (ShipSure), GoKwik, Meesho, Pepperfry, and Mokobara, with new programs going live every quarter. Your responsibilities encompass the entire cycle: data ingestion, plan enrolment, claims adjudication, timely payouts, and full reconciliation with partners and insurers. Each partner receives a clean, on-time report. When something breaks, you fix it, document the root cause, and change the process so it doesn't break again. Over time, you transform that loop into SOPs and automation with Data and Product teams so the LOB scales without headcount scaling with it.
Success in the first six months means every live purchase-protection program runs on a documented weekly cadence—enrolment → feed → claims adjudication → settlement → partner report—with a named owner for each step and no step dependent on the COO. Claims TAT and settlement accuracy are measured per program, reported weekly, and improving; partner escalations drop. Partner-facing reconciliation closes within the agreed cycle every week with finance sign-off. At least one new program is taken live on the same playbook without a bespoke process. The automation backlog for the LOB is prioritised, specced with Data/Product, and the first two items are shipped.
4–7 years in hands-on operations roles in e-commerce, logistics/shipping, payments, lending, or insurance operations, where you owned a recurring, high-volume process end-to-end (claims, settlements, reconciliation, fulfilment, disputes). You have personally run a weekly or monthly reconciliation or payout cycle against partners or insurers and closed the breaks yourself. Strong with spreadsheets at scale (tens of thousands of rows) and comfortable with SQL or BI tools to pull your own data. Track record of writing SOPs and getting a team to follow them; you have improved a TAT or error rate and can quantify it. Clear written communication—partner emails, MIS commentary, incident write-ups. Mumbai-based and comfortable with 3 days a week in office.
