Role Overview

We are actively seeking a skilled Path Planning Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. You will tackle complex real-world challenges associated with navigation in dynamic environments for self-driving vehicles. The primary responsibility of this role includes developing AI-driven algorithms that facilitate real-time trajectory prediction, planning, and decision-making. This position promises exposure to a variety of projects, including on-road and off-road vehicles, providing an opportunity to test and refine solutions on prototype vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement motion planning and decision-making systems for self-driving vehicles, guaranteeing safe operational behavior.
• Develop and customize software stacks to meet project-specific requirements.
• Create robust solutions for cutting-edge driving challenges, enhancing the capability of our vehicles in complex situations.
• Drive improvements in the vehicle’s ability to act and react under nuanced conditions by leveraging innovative algorithms.

Tech Stack

• Programming Languages: C++, Python.
• Frameworks/Platforms: ROS (Robot Operating System), Navigation stack.
• Algorithms: Expertise in path planning (A*, Dijkstra, RRT), trajectory planning, mathematical models relevant to kinematics and optimization.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years in a related field.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Key Skills:
  • Hands-on experience in deploying motion planning/control algorithms on autonomous vehicles.
  • Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System) and Navigation stack.
  • Practical application experience with robotic path planning and trajectory planning algorithms (A*, Dijkstra, RRT, etc.).
  • Strong mathematical skills and a good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Theoretical Knowledge:
  • Coverage path planning algorithms, computational geometry, trajectory and behavior prediction, vehicle kinematics, inverse kinematics, and optimization methods.

Good to Have

• Experience or knowledge in reinforcement learning.
• Knowledge of multi-agent planning and fleet management systems.
• Basic familiarity with V2X communication protocols.
