Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. This role is central to our operations, involving the design, optimization, and management of processes for oil and gas extraction, refining, and transportation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering, hands-on experience with simulation tools, and a deep understanding of safety and regulatory frameworks. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of process systems, from concept to commissioning and ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Design & Optimization: Design and optimize processes for oil and gas extraction, refining, and transportation, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Control Strategies: Develop and implement advanced process control strategies and systems to maintain operational stability and product quality.
• Simulation & Modeling: Conduct process simulations using industry-standard software such as HYSYS or Aspen Plus to validate designs, predict performance, and identify bottlenecks.
• Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments and HAZOP studies to identify potential process hazards and implement mitigation measures.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues during operations, providing technical support to plant and field teams.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers, as well as project managers, to ensure integrated and robust design solutions.
• Documentation: Prepare and review process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and other technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze process performance data to identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Compliance: Ensure all processes comply with industry standards (API, ASME, etc.), safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Candidates from Mumbai are preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in process engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards (API, ASME, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in offshore environments, including physical fitness and safety training certification.
