Role Overview

Statcon Electronics India Limited is seeking a Process Quality Engineer (Power Electronics Manufacturing) to support quality assurance activities across the production process. The selected candidate will be responsible for in-process inspection, final inspection, defect identification, process monitoring, and maintaining quality records on the shop floor. The role requires a practical understanding of Process Quality Control, engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, inspection methods, and basic measuring instruments. The candidate will work closely with the Production and Quality teams to identify and resolve quality issues and ensure that products meet defined specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain quality standards at different stages of the production process.
• Perform in-process and final inspection of products as per defined quality standards.
• Inspect product dimensions, fitment, assembly, appearance, workmanship, and overall quality.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
• Use basic inspection and measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, measuring tape, meter tape, and other relevant tools.
• Identify production defects, quality issues, and process deviations during manufacturing.
• Coordinate with the Production and Quality teams to identify root causes and resolve quality-related issues.
• Ensure that production activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Maintain inspection records, check sheets, rejection reports, and other quality-related documentation.
• Report quality deviations and non-conformities to the concerned team or reporting manager.
• Support corrective and preventive actions for recurring quality issues.
• Conduct regular shop-floor checks to ensure adherence to defined process and quality standards.
• Assist in maintaining proper documentation and traceability of inspection activities.

Basic problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication and coordination skills. Willingness to work in shop-floor environment.
