India Health Link is building a next-generation multi-tenant HMIS with AI plug-ins. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager / Business Analyst with deep hospital domain expertise to define product specifications, manage pilot hospital relationships, and drive the first go-live. This is a hands-on role requiring 5-8 years of HMIS implementation or hospital operations experience, with regular travel to Andhra Pradesh.

About the Company

India Health Link Pvt. Ltd. is a Chennai-based health-tech startup building a modern, multi-tenant Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) — a single platform that can serve multiple hospitals simultaneously. The system is designed as a greenfield project covering 42 modules across three phases, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) features delivered as optional plug-ins on top of a core that works fully without them. The first pilot hospital is scheduled to go live in month 6. The company is founded by domain experts and technologists who understand the unique challenges of Indian hospitals, from billing and TPA desks to NABH audits.

Role Overview

This is a critical product role that bridges the gap between engineering and real-world hospital operations. Everything the engineers build is a guess until someone who has run or deployed an HMIS in an Indian hospital tells them how the ward, the billing counter, the TPA desk, and the NABH audit actually work. As the Product Manager / Business Analyst, you will own the entire product requirements lifecycle for all 42 modules, starting with master data workbooks in month 1. You will be the domain authority who ensures every feature is clinically and operationally correct, and you will represent the voice of the hospital throughout development.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements & specifications: Stay two sprints ahead of every development pod with detailed specifications covering screens, fields, rules, edge cases, and current hospital processes.
• Master data management: Develop and maintain master data workbooks for tariffs, test catalogues, drug formularies, department and bed structures, starting with the pilot hospital in month 1.
• Pilot hospital relationship: Run day-to-day engagement with the pilot hospital — workshops, sign-offs, escalations, and the go-live plan.
• Change control: Manage scope creep using the phase-2 and phase-3 roadmap as the pressure valve.
• Quality assurance: Act as the second pair of eyes on all workflows to ensure operational correctness before development.
• Reports & analytics: Define the reports and MIS pack that hospitals actually need: census, revenue, collections, TPA ageing, stock consumption, NABH indicators.
• AI integration: Work with the AI Engineer and clinical advisors to identify where AI adds value and where it must stay out.
• Data migration: Own the content of data migration — what comes across from the old system, how it is cleaned, and how it is verified.
• Training & go-live: Train hospital staff, and be present through go-live and hypercare.

Tech Stack

• AI & ML: The product includes optional AI plug-ins (built in-house); familiarity with AI concepts helpful but not mandatory.
• Database: Basic SQL skills required (or willingness to learn in month one).
• HMIS Platforms: Experience with any Indian HMIS (e.g., Admit, MocDoc, Practo, etc.).
• Standards & Integrations: ABDM (Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission), PMJAY, NABH documentation.
• Tools: Specification writing, UAT scripts, Jira/confluence (preferred).

• 5+ years implementing HMIS or Hospital Information Systems in Indian hospitals, OR running hospital operations/quality through an HMIS rollout.
• First-hand knowledge of at least four of: outpatient/inpatient workflows, ward/nursing operations, billing/cashier, TPA/insurance/PMJAY desk, pharmacy/stores, lab/radiology operations, NABH documentation.
• Ability to write clear specifications and UAT scripts.
• Comfortable interacting with both hospital medical superintendents and engineers on the same day.
• Willingness to travel regularly to the pilot hospital.
• Good to have: Data migration from a legacy HMIS, ABDM/Ayushman Bharat experience, basic SQL (or willingness to learn), experience of a go-live that went badly with clear lessons.
