Role Overview

We are on the lookout for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 3 to 4 years of industry experience specifically testing SaaS applications. The ideal candidate should possess a robust understanding of automation testing, API testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, ensuring that we uphold the highest standards in software quality. This role requires a detail-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in an Agile working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for web-based SaaS applications.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members to gather requirements and establish effective test strategies.
• Conduct various tests including functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing to validate product quality.
• Develop and execute API automation tests utilizing tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
• Efficiently identify, log, track and verify defects using various bug-tracking tools.
• Actively participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups, ensuring agile practices are adhered to.
• Integrate automated test suites seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines to streamline the release process.
• Analyze test results comprehensively and prepare detailed reports to assist in continual improvement.

• 3–4 years of experience in QA Automation, preferably in a SaaS product environment.
• Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright or Cypress.
• Proficiency in Java, Python or JavaScript for automation scripting.
• Experience with API testing using Postman, Rest Assured or similar tools.
• Good understanding of SQL and database validation.
• Hands-on experience with version control tools like Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or GitLab CI.
• Experience with defect tracking tools like Jira.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
