Role Overview

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. With a focus on software testing, both manual and automated, you will utilize modern automation tools and methodologies to improve testing efficiency. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality and possess hands-on experience in test automation and AI-powered testing practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain automated tests that adhere to established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create robust test plans.
• Design, write, review, and execute detailed test cases and scenarios, performing functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Conduct API testing utilizing tools such as Postman to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver or Playwright, enhancing the automation framework as needed.
• Identify automation opportunities and work on increasing automation coverage across the project.
• Analyze test results, investigate failures, and report defects with precise reproduction steps.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives, ensuring timely delivery of quality releases.

Locations

Onsite in Chennai or Kolkata, West Bengal, India.

• 2+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and defect management processes.
• Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Proficient in Automation Testing with Selenium or Playwright.
• Experience with Visual Studio Code (VS Code) and Git.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Jira or similar project management tools.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
