Role Overview

As a QA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our engineering team, ensuring the highest quality standards for our software solutions. You will be responsible for various testing processes, from requirements analysis to continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help shape our testing strategies and bolster the quality assurance practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Analysis & Planning: Review functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring acceptance criteria are clear and testable. Identify risks and contribute to test planning and estimation.
2. Test Strategy & Case Design: Develop test scenarios and cases, maintain Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), and prepare test data. Conduct peer reviews for test case quality.
3. Test Environment Ownership: Validate test environments and collaborate with DevOps/Engineering teams to ensure stability and configuration correctness. Setting up logs and monitoring tools is essential for effective testing.
4. Test Execution: Execute different test types including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests while logging defects precisely and participating in defect management processes.
5. Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation, enhance automation frameworks, and ensure seamless execution within CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
6. Non-Functional Testing: Conduct basic performance, load, and security validations along with checks for usability and accessibility standards.
7. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare thorough test plans, reports, and dashboards, communicating test status and documenting known issues effectively.
8. Continuous Improvement & Leadership: Mentor junior QA team members, drive process improvements, advocate for quality within teams, and contribute to enhancing overall testing strategies and automation maturity.

Salary

Estimated salary for this role is ₹70,000 - ₹1,20,000 per month.

Job Location

• 5–8+ years of experience in software testing
• Strong expertise in functional, regression, integration & E2E testing
• Hands-on experience with test case design techniques
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with bug tracking tools
