Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Quarkus Developer to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend development using Java and be proficient in Quarkus. In this role, you will contribute to our mission by designing and implementing robust backend systems that meet the demands of our clients, particularly in regulated sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and applications using Java and Quarkus, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement OIDC/OAuth2 and RBAC design methodologies in system architecture, ensuring secure access control and authorization.
• Design event-driven and streaming solutions, leveraging technologies like Kafka or gRPC, ensuring durability and reliable data processing.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand compliance requirements and ensure that systems align with regulatory standards in sectors such as financial services and healthcare.
• Own the entire lifecycle of your services, from designing the data model and API to testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Work with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes to deploy applications in cloud environments, maintaining necessary security protocols.
• Utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools like GKE and IAM to deploy and manage services within a secure enterprise environment.

• Minimum 3 years of backend development experience in Java, with a strong focus on Quarkus.
• Expertise in OIDC/OAuth2 and RBAC design, preferably with Keycloak.
• Experience in designing event-driven or streaming architectures (e.g., Kafka or gRPC).
• Familiarity with systems having strict audit/compliance requirements in sectors like financial services or healthcare.
• Strong skills in API design (REST and/or gRPC) and the ability to oversee a service end-to-end, including data modeling, API development, testing, and deployment.
• Knowledge of containerized deployment using Docker and Kubernetes, particularly within enterprise networks.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically GKE, IAM, VPC networking, and Cloud KMS.
