Role Overview

We are seeking a Refrigeration Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering department. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in the design, development, and maintenance of advanced refrigeration systems crucial to our climatic test chambers and related products. This role requires not only technical expertise but also strong analytical and project management skills to ensure the systems meet our clients' stringent standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Development:

  • Design and develop refrigeration systems for climatic test chambers, focusing on temperature and humidity capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Research & Development team to innovate and enhance existing systems for optimal performance and energy efficiency.
  • Utilize CAD software to prepare technical drawings, specifications, and ensure precise execution of designs.

• Installation and Testing:

  • Supervise the installation and commissioning of refrigeration systems, validating that they meet specified design parameters and performance metrics.
  • Conduct rigorous performance tests and analyze data to affirm system efficacy and reliability.
  • Address and resolve technical issues arising during testing and operational phases, ensuring consistent performance across installations.

• Maintenance and Support:

  • Provide continuous support and maintenance for refrigeration systems in client facilities, ensuring minimal operational downtime.
  • Diagnose issues and implement repairs swiftly to preserve system integrity and functionality.
  • Offer technical expertise and training for client personnel and internal teams on system operations and maintenance protocols.

• Project Management:

  • Handle multiple projects concurrently, adhering to timelines and budget constraints.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and project managers, to ensure cohesive project execution.

Qualifications

• Education: ITI / Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in installation and maintenance of refrigeration systems; experience with climatic test chambers is a plus.
• Preferred Certification: Certification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) or related certifications is advantageous.

Other Requirements

• Willingness to travel for installation and maintenance projects across India.
• Ability to relocate to Chennai if not already based there.
