Casa Laxmi India Pvt. Ltd. supports the global operations of Koolatron Corporation, a North American consumer products company established in 1978. The company has a diverse portfolio covering refrigeration, major appliances, automotive products, pest control solutions, pet products, and consumer electronics. Products are sold through leading retail and eCommerce channels across North America, Europe, Australia, and other global markets. The Indian office manages compliance, sourcing, and operational support for the parent company's global reach.
The Regulatory & Product Compliance Lead will be responsible for end-to-end product compliance and regulatory governance across multiple global markets. This strategic role ensures that consumer durable products (home appliances, electrical/electronic goods) meet all applicable regulatory and safety requirements before launch and remain compliant throughout their lifecycle. The position also manages marketplace compliance on major platforms like Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot, Wayfair, and Best Buy to prevent listing suppressions and delistings. The ideal candidate has deep experience in product safety, certification management, and international regulations, and can work effectively with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Legal, and Ecommerce.
Product & Regulatory Compliance – Manage compliance across US, Canada, UK, Europe, and Australia. Maintain regulatory documentation, declarations, manuals, certifications, and technical files. Monitor regulatory changes and implement timely updates. Identify gaps and coordinate corrective actions.
eCommerce Marketplace Compliance – Ensure product listings on Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot, Wayfair, Best Buy and other platforms meet documentation and regulatory requirements. Prevent listing suppressions and compliance-related disruptions.
Certifications & Standards – Coordinate global certifications: cETL/ETL/UL, CSA, CE, UKCA, SAA/RCM/EESS. Manage energy efficiency compliance with US DOE, NRCan, CEC, EU EcoDesign, Australian requirements.
Risk Management & Governance – Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments. Recommend and implement preventive and corrective actions. Develop systems to minimize compliance risks and support faster, compliant product launches.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with internal teams to integrate compliance requirements throughout the product lifecycle: from design to sourcing, quality, and marketplace listings.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field. 8–15 years of experience in Product Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Product Safety, or eCommerce Compliance. Strong knowledge of international regulations (US, Canada, UK, EU, Australia). Experience with certifications: cETL/ETL/UL, CSA, CE, UKCA, SAA/RCM/EESS. Familiarity with energy efficiency regulations (DOE, NRCan, CEC, EcoDesign). Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
