Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Sales Head with 10–18 years of experience to lead our sales initiatives in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, or Medical Instruments sector. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills and a robust commercial acumen to drive business growth while establishing strong client relationships. The successful candidate will manage a high-performing sales team, navigate the complexities of the healthcare market, and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute short-term and long-term sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and manage Regional and Area Sales Managers as well as field sales teams.
• Drive revenue growth by expanding existing business and identifying new market opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, healthcare institutions, distributors, OEMs, and strategic clients.
• Oversee PAN India sales operations to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
• Conduct market trend analyses, competitor assessments, and customer requirement evaluations to identify new business avenues.
• Develop sales forecasts, annual budgets, and detailed business plans.
• Manage key account relationships and negotiate agreements with major clients.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Operations for successful product launches.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), profitability, and team performance through regular business reviews.
• Recruit, train, coach, and retain top-tier sales professionals.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations, company policies, and ethical sales practices.

Requirements

• Experience: 10–18 years in Sales, Business Development, or Commercial Operations.
• Industry Experience: Mandatory experience in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, or Medical Instruments industry.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong experience in handling distributor networks, institutional sales, and key account management.
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, or a related discipline. MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management preferred.
