Role Overview

ClearView is looking for a Salesforce Engineer to join the Information Technology team in Gurgaon. This role covers platform configuration/development, system administration/integration/support, and user enablement and adoption. The primary focus will be hands-on development and administration, with secondary responsibilities in driving user adoption. The position requires minimal supervision, adaptability to changing demands, and a continuous improvement mindset. You will be responsible for ClearView’s Salesforce platform globally, supporting all locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Salesforce org to support global business processes, including objects, fields, page layouts, flows, validation rules, permission sets, and reports.
• Build new functionality for business development, project delivery, expert network, and finance workflows where declarative tools are insufficient.
• Develop and maintain custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce APIs, following best practices like bulkification, governor-limit-aware design, automated testing, error handling, asynchronous processing, code reviews, and source control.
• Manage release management and change control across sandboxes and production environments, including testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, implement changes within standards, and document for ongoing support.
• Conduct annual reviews of org configuration, technical debt, and license utilization, providing recommendations for enhancement.
• Support Salesforce adoption and effective platform use through clear communication, demonstrations, documentation, and targeted enablement.
• Develop reference materials, release notes, and office hours for onboarding and new feature rollouts.
• Work with the Salesforce Architect to share knowledge and enable the IT team.
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure and Applications to ensure secure design, deployment, and management of Salesforce and connected systems, including SSO/SAML, OWD, role hierarchy, sharing rules, permission sets, CRUD/FLS, Apex security, and integrations.
• Evaluate and refine existing integrations, data quality, and platform performance/availability.
• Manage data lifecycle: retention, archiving/purge, data quality, bulk operations.
• Serve as Salesforce subject matter expert for platform and connected tools.
• Identify defects and performance issues through testing, monitoring, and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with IT and data protection policies.
• Support system outage remediation with the Salesforce Architect.
• Provide technical expertise for platform initiatives and roadmap.
• Stay current with Salesforce releases and recommend appropriate actions.
• Support audit processes related to system access and data integrity.
• Ensure client data protection and purging as per MSAs.

• Other: AppExchange applications, advanced reporting/dashboards

4-7 years of Salesforce configuration and development experience, Salesforce Platform Developer II certification or equivalent, strong hands-on skills in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Flow, Salesforce REST/SOAP APIs, data management and security. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
