Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior BI QA Lead to join our team in Chennai, Pune, or Hyderabad. This is a hybrid role requiring a strong background in testing enterprise Business Intelligence platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of reporting and analytics solutions, focusing on Tableau dashboards, SSRS reports, and SSIS data integration processes. As a senior lead, you will drive testing standards, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality and reporting reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive BI testing strategies, standards, and best practices.
• Test Tableau dashboards, SSRS reports, and SSIS ETL workflows to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Validate data integration processes, including ETL and ELT pipelines, to ensure consistency across reporting layers.
• Perform advanced SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis of defects.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, BI Developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and identify quality risks.
• Manage testing activities across multiple BI projects, prioritizing efforts based on business risk and impact.
• Use Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and Agile delivery support.
• Drive quality metrics including defect leakage, test coverage, data quality indicators, and release readiness.
• Conduct API validation and interface testing as part of the overall quality assurance process.
• Proactively identify potential reporting or data quality risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Mentor and guide junior QA team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Experience Requirements

• 10+ years of QA experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality releases in complex systems.

Technical Skills

• Extensive experience testing Tableau dashboards and analytics solutions.
• Strong experience validating SSRS reports and report subscriptions.
• Experience testing SSIS packages, ETL workflows, and data movement processes.
• Advanced SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
• Experience working with data warehouses, relational databases, and dimensional data models.
• Strong understanding of data integration, ETL, ELT, and reporting architectures.
• Experience using Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and Agile delivery support.
• Experience with API validation and interface testing is desirable.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Data Services, and cloud-based BI platforms.
